Bethesda, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating two commercial armed robberies that occurred in the 4800 block of Edgemoor Lane in Bethesda. Surveillance photos of the suspect have been released, and the public’s assistance is being sought to identify him.
On Monday, May 13, at 7:21 p.m., 2nd District officers responded to Geste Beer and Wine for the report of an armed robbery. An unknown male suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun, and stole money from the cash register before fleeing the scene. The next day, at 6:26 p.m., the same suspect repeated the robbery at the same location.

Described as a Black male in his late teens, the suspect wore distinctive clothing on each day of the incidents. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect or the crimes to contact Crime Solvers of Montgomery County or call the provided hotline. Tips leading to an arrest could result in a reward ranging from $250 to $10,000, and identities can remain anonymous.
