Severe Accident Involving Overturned Truck Leaves Driver in Critical Condition

Manchester, NJ – Manchester Township Police Department responded to an overturned pickup truck on Horicon Ave just east of County Route 530 on Tuesday morning. Investigating officers found an overturned 2020 Toyota Tacoma with significant damage, concluding that the vehicle veered off the road, struck several trees, and overturned onto its side. The driver, 42-year-old Jeremy D. Bier from Pennsauken, NJ, sustained severe injuries and was airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

The scene was attended by emergency personnel from various departments, including the Manchester Township Division of Emergency Services, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Fire Department, Whiting Volunteer Fire Department, and Robert Wood Johnson LifeFlight. Although the crash investigation is ongoing, initial observations suggest that failure to maintain lane and not wearing a seatbelt may have been the primary causes. Officer Conner Yatauro from the Traffic Safety Section is handling the investigation.
