Silver Spring, MD – A Silver Spring man known as “Mr. Money Bags” celebrated with his fiancée after claiming a $50,000 scratch-off prize. The lucky winner, who started playing scratch-offs earlier this year, purchased the winning ticket from a 7-Eleven in Germantown.
“Mr. Money Bags” scanned the ticket and saw a message instructing him to go to the Lottery office. Excited and in disbelief, he confirmed his win with the store cashier before sharing the good news with his fiancée and mother. The couple then visited Lottery headquarters in Baltimore to claim the prize.
The electrician plans to use the prize money for his upcoming wedding and to pay off bills. Additionally, the 7-Eleven in Germantown, where the winning ticket was sold, will receive a $500 bonus for selling the top-prize scratch-off ticket.
