Boston, MA – Members of the A-7 East Boston Drug Control Unit, along with the D-4 South End/Back Bay Unit and West Roxbury Drug Control Units, conducted a major operation dubbed “Clean House” at 44 Border Street, East Boston.
This location has been identified as a hotspot for illicit drug activities within the Maverick Landing Housing Development, with numerous incidents documented over the past year.
Authorities launched the operation after a six-month investigation, resulting in the seizure of significant amounts of cocaine, crack cocaine, and Fentanyl, alongside a substantial sum of US currency.
Ten individuals were arrested on a variety of charges, including drug trafficking and possession with intent to distribute narcotics.
A record of 52 drug-related incidents were reported at 44 Border Street between January 2023 and April 2024.
The suspects apprehended during the operation are set to face arraignment at the East Boston District Court.
Among those arrested are individuals facing charges related to drug trafficking, outstanding warrants, and trespassing. The coordinated efforts of multiple Drug Control Units culminated in this impactful operation aimed at dismantling illicit drug operations in the area.
