Pittsburgh, PA – Sheriff Kevin M. Kraus announced the arrest of an East Pittsburgh man who was wanted for alleged assault on an elderly person in a parking lot. Terrel Byars, 24, had been a fugitive since a bench warrant was issued for his failure to comply with a court sentence last year.
Byars faced an active warrant from Monroeville Police for allegedly assaulting an 84-year-old man at a Sam’s Club parking lot on August 13, 2023.
Detectives from the office developed information this week that Byars was in the area of Elliot and the West End in the City of Pittsburgh. Following this development, detectives located Byars at a residence on Wymore Street. Byars was found hiding under a bed and was subsequently arrested without incident.
He was then transported to the Allegheny County Jail for processing and further legal proceedings.
