On Mother’s Day, the man visited a Sheetz convenience store in Frederick, where he unexpectedly decided to purchase a $10 Jumbo Cash ticket. Initially hesitant due to the higher price, the man ultimately bought the ticket on a whim.

Shortly after buying the ticket, the man discovered he had won the top prize while still in his car. Stunned by the unexpected windfall, he immediately contacted his daughter to verify the win using the Maryland Lottery app on her phone. Overwhelmed with shock, the man and his wife are now planning to use the money to pay off debt and plan for retirement.
