Pennsylvania Duo Broke Into Home and Assaulted Teen, Now They're Going to Jail

LANCASTER, PA – Two women, Jajaira Ramirez, 38, and Najee Ramirez, 26, both residents of Sterling Place, were convicted last Friday of multiple charges including burglary and simple assault. The conviction stems from an August 2022 incident where they broke into a home and assaulted a teenager.

After a three-day trial, a Lancaster County jury deliberated for nearly four hours before returning a guilty verdict against the Ramirezes. The trial, presided over by Judge Jeffrey Conrad, highlighted their involvement in a dispute that escalated into physical violence at a home on Sterling Place.

Assistant District Attorney Elizabeth Lapp argued that the defendants initiated a physical altercation that centered on two teenage girls, deeming their actions “particularly reprehensible.” Evidence showed that the adults encouraged the teenagers to resolve their disputes through physical confrontation. Additionally, the prosecution presented threatening messages sent by Jajaira Ramirez to the victim’s mother.

While Najee Ramirez remains at large after failing to appear for her trial and subsequent hearings, Jajaira Ramirez is out on $50,000 unsecured bail. Sentencing for both will occur at a later date.
