Union Township Man Charged with Sexual Assault of a Minor

Union Township, NJ – A Union man has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a minor, as reported by Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel and Union Police Director Christopher Donnelly.

Solomon Blay, 41, faces multiple charges: one count of first-degree kidnapping by unlawful confinement, one count of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, one count of second-degree sexual assault, one count of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and one count of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact. These charges resulted from a referral to the Union County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit from the Union Police Department.

Blay was arrested on Wednesday, May 8, in Newark and is currently held in the Essex County Jail pending his detention hearing on Tuesday, May 14.
