Generous $711 Donation Made to Suffolk County Police Department Explorers

East Patchogue, NY – The Suffolk County Police Department’s Fifth Precinct Explorers were the recipients of a generous gift during the grand opening of a new 7-Eleven. The franchisee, Chris Stephens, selected the Fifth Precinct Explorer Post to be the recipient of their Project A Game grant in the amount of $711, which will be used to buy training equipment for the Explorers.

Deputy Police Commissioner Belinda Groneman and other SCPD officials attended the check presentation and ribbon-cutting ceremony at the 7-Eleven in East Patchogue. The grant aims to support the Suffolk County Police Explorers, a program catering to individuals aged 14 to 20 who have an interest in pursuing a career in law enforcement. For more information, individuals can reach out via email at SCPDExplorers@Suffolkcountyny.gov.

The donation showcases community support for the exploration program and underscores the commitment to nurturing the career interests of young individuals considering law enforcement. Through this grant, the Fifth Precinct Explorers will further enhance their training and educational resources to prepare for potential careers in the field.
