Clarksburg Man Arrested for Series of Sexual Assaults

GAITHERSBURG, MD—An 18-year-old male from Clarksburg, identified as Ibn Muhammad Rosario, has been arrested on charges of sexual assault. Montgomery County Police have charged him with multiple counts following reports of assaults on women in the Clarksburg area.

The incidents occurred on consecutive days from Monday to Thursday along Snowden Farm Parkway and Little Seneca Parkway. Rosario is accused of groping and making inappropriate comments to at least four women who were either walking or jogging. Each victim subsequently reported these encounters, leading to an increased police presence in the area.

On Thursday at 10:52 AM, a special assignment officer spotted Rosario at a roundabout where he allegedly assaulted another woman, who managed to defend herself. Rosario fled but was soon apprehended by officers from the 5th and 6th District Special Assignment Teams.

Currently held without bond, Rosario faces four counts of fourth-degree sexual offense and four counts of second-degree assault. Police are concerned there may be more victims and are appealing for them to come forward by contacting the 5th District Patrol Investigations Unit.
