WASHINGTON, DC – The Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District has made two arrests in connection to a shooting at Dunbar High School in Northwest. The incident occurred on Friday, at approximately 9:55 AM in the 100 block of N Street.
Officers responding to the scene found a juvenile female victim inside the school, suffering from a graze wound. She was subsequently transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation led to the arrest of 18-year-old Zaharia Graves and a 17-year-old juvenile male, both from Northeast, DC. They face charges of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Carrying a Pistol without a License, and Endangerment with a Firearm.
The case is still under investigation. The Metropolitan Police Department offers a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in a violent crime in the district.
