Police Make Arrest in Prince Frederick Burglaries

Prince Frederick, MD – Detectives from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office recently made an arrest in connection to several burglaries in Prince Frederick. The suspect, identified as Ronald Joseph Strain, 58, was found to be involved in multiple incidents.

During the early morning hours of May 1, Maryland State Police responded to a commercial burglary at the Shell Gas Station located at 400 N Solomons Island Road. Stolen items included a pack of Newport cigarettes and $50 in US currency.

A search of Strain’s residence led to the discovery of clothing and boots worn during the burglaries, along with stolen items. The damage to Pollo Delicioso was estimated at $3500.

Strain has been charged with various offenses, including two counts of Second-Degree Burglary and Theft. He was taken into custody and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center.
