PATCHOGUE, NY – Randheer Shewprashad, a 25-year-old resident of Patchogue, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison followed by eight years of post-release supervision. Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced the sentence, which followed Shewprashad’s guilty plea to charges of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.

Shewprashad was convicted for his involvement in selling fentanyl to an undercover officer and illegal possession of a firearm. According to District Attorney Tierney, this sentence aims to prevent Shewprashad from further distributing harmful drugs within the community.

Court records reveal that Shewprashad was involved in multiple drug transactions between March and April 2023, where he sold cocaine and fentanyl to undercover officers. He was arrested on Thursday, May 4, 2023, after a search warrant was executed at his home in Patchogue, where authorities seized cocaine, fentanyl, and two semi-automatic handguns.
