Washington, DC – Some riders faced delays on Sunday night after a man was struck by a train at the Federal Triangle Metro Station. Metro police officers responded to the incident at 8:30 p.m.

The man was found beneath the train in the unit block of 12th Street NW. Officials indicated that he was critically injured and transported to a nearby hospital. Service interruption occurred during the investigation, with normal service resuming shortly before midnight.
