Teens in Suffolk County are set to dazzle at their proms, courtesy of the Suffolk County Police Department’s annual Prom Impact event.
High school students from various schools gathered at the Police Academy this past Saturday to select their prom outfits, complete with makeup, shoes, and accessories.
The event’s success is attributed to private donations, police department volunteers, and the SCPD LGBTQ Society, the coordinating force behind the event.
Students paraded down the runway in their stylish ensembles, turning the event into a memorable experience. The Suffolk County Police Department’s initiative helped these teens access prom attire and necessities to make their special night even more extraordinary. With the community’s support and the volunteers’ hard work, the event brought joy and excitement to the students preparing for their prom night.
