Stabbing Incident Leads to One Arrest in Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – The Atlantic City Police Department is investigating a recent stabbing incident that led to the arrest of one individual. The incident occurred on Saturday night at the Showboat, situated in the 800 block of the Boardwalk. Officer Adrianna Petinga responded to a report of a man who had been stabbed at 9:00 PM on April 24. The victim, a 25-year-old male from Bronx, NY, was discovered with a severe stab wound and was promptly attended to by Officer Petinga. Subsequently, the victim was taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury.

Following the altercation, where the victim was punched, kicked, and stabbed by multiple suspects, Officer William Harned took one of the involved individuals into custody.

The suspect, Marquise Cottman, a 20-year-old resident of Millville, NJ, was charged with aggravated assault for punching and kicking the victim. Additionally, Cottman was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was later released with a summons indicating a future court appearance.
