Police Seek Public's Help in Identifying Ethnic Intimidation Suspect

Pittsburgh Police detectives seek public help in identifying suspects involved in ethnic intimidation, harassment, and criminal mischief. The victim reported various incidents in the Mexican War Streets area this month.

In the most recent events that occurred on Thursday and Saturday, a suspect ripped off an Israeli flag from the property and defaced the sidewalk with disturbing messages. Earlier, the victim received anti-Semitic and pro-Palestinian materials and flags were vandalized with offensive messages.

The first incident took place on Thursday morning when the suspect tore down an Israeli flag and discarded it. Two days later, during the early hours of Saturday, another incident occurred where the suspect plastered anti-Semitic materials on the property’s windows and spray-painted a troubling message on the sidewalk. The victim had previously received hateful literature and had flags stolen and vandalized with disturbing slogans. The police urge anyone with information to contact Zone 1 immediately or call 911.

Authorities noted the possibility that the individual captured in the photos and video could be the same perpetrator behind the various acts of harassment and intimidation.

The police have shared images of the suspect and ask the community for assistance in identifying the person responsible. Video footage related to the incidents is available in the comments section of the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police’s social media page.
