Former Cop Kills, Abducts, Sparks Amber Alert in Washington Incident

West Richland, Washington – An Amber Alert has been issued for 1-year-old Roman Huizar, allegedly taken by his father, Elias Huizar, following the murder of his girlfriend and ex-wife. Elias, a former police officer, is reported to have killed a woman outside a Washington state elementary school and another individual at his residence before fleeing with his son in West Richland, Washington.

The West Richland Police Department revealed that Elias Huizar shot a woman at Wiley Elementary School shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Monday, causing chaos during the student dismissal. Authorities confirmed the woman’s death at the scene, after which Huizar fled in a Toyota Corolla or Camry bearing Washington license plate CBZ4745. Subsequently, during the execution of a search warrant at Huizar’s home, law enforcement found another deceased individual, whose identity has yet to be disclosed.

Huizar is suspected of killing his ex-wife and girlfriend, as indicated in the Amber Alert issued for his son, Roman Huizar, by the Washington State Patrol. With ongoing concerns that Elias Huizar might be armed and pose a danger to the public, the Police Department in West Richland urges citizens to exercise caution. Elias is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, with brown eyes and hair, while Roman, who is 1 year old, stands at 2 feet tall and weighs 25 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
