Man Arrested for Murder of Girlfriend in Dallas Home

Dallas, Texas – According to a press release by the Dallas Police Department, on Monday at about 1:15 a.m., officers responded to a 911 call that led them to a residence where they discovered the body of victim Corinna Johnson. The alleged perpetrator, Omar Lucio, 34, was subsequently apprehended.

The family of the victim disclosed a history of domestic violence during Johnson and Lucio’s six-year relationship. Reportedly, Johnson, 27, was a mother to a 7-year-old child. The tragic incident took place in the early hours of Sunday, April 14, on West Wheatland Road.

Lucio allegedly confessed to initiating a violent altercation with Johnson after being asked to leave a bar.

The victim’s lifeless body was found in the bathroom, showing signs of trauma. Authorities reported that Lucio initially refused to exit the residence but was eventually taken into custody around 3:00 a.m. Johnson’s family has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for her funeral expenses.
