Five Arrested in Atlantic City Drug Enforcement Operation

On Monday, the Atlantic City Police Department executed an enforcement operation resulting in the arrest of five individuals related to areas of violence within Atlantic City. Detectives took action on April 18, in the first block of South Florida Avenue. Four men linked to narcotics possession and distribution were apprehended during surveillance, with Isaiah Brown trying to flee, resisting arrest, and displaying uncooperative behavior.

Recovered items from the arrests included 130 vials of cocaine, 100 bags of heroin, and over $900 in cash. In a separate incident at the 600 block of New York Avenue, Jamil Hunter was apprehended after attempting to evade Sergeant Darrin Lorady and was found with a small amount of cocaine and an existing arrest warrant.

Isaiah Brown, 19, from Atlantic City faced multiple charges including possession and distribution of CDS, loitering to distribute CDS, and assault on a police officer. Brown was placed in the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Antwain Coleman, 32, and Darrell Cherry Jr, 29, from Philadelphia, and Phillip Quackenbush, 59, from Atlantic City, were charged with various drug-related offenses and later released on summons. Additionally, Jamil Hunter, a 35-year-old resident of Atlantic City, faced charges relating to drug possession, obstruction of justice, resisting arrest, burglary, and hindering apprehension.
