DOVER, DE — Delaware State Police are currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred early this morning at the Waffle House located at 4003 South Dupont Highway in Dover. The incident took place around 4:00 a.m. on April 19, 2024.
According to the initial reports, four women were sitting in a disabled car in the restaurant’s parking lot, waiting for assistance when they were approached by two armed suspects. The men, described as two black males, brandished firearms and demanded the victims’ belongings.
The women complied, and the suspects then fled the scene on foot. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the victims.
Currently, no surveillance footage or images of the suspects are available. The Delaware State Police Troop 3 Criminal Investigations Unit, led by Detective S. O’Leary, is handling the investigation.
