FREEHOLD, NJ — Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago and Wall Township Police Chief Sean O’Halloran announced that a forensic analysis of human remains discovered at a residential construction site in Wall Township has found no signs of foul play. The findings were released following an investigation after the remains were unearthed on March 12 during foundation work for a new home on Narrumson Road.
Members of the Prosecutor’s Office and the Wall Township Police Department promptly secured the site. In the days that followed, an intensive soil examination was conducted, and the skeletal remains of multiple individuals were discovered and preserved for further analysis.
A forensic anthropologist from the New Jersey State Police Forensic Anthropology Unit conducted the analysis, determining that the remains are of an advanced age, although the precise dating of the bones is not yet possible with high accuracy. The authorities have assured the public that more information will be shared as the investigation continues.
