Wall Township Police Blotter: Here's What's Happening


Series of Traffic Stops and Arrests Reported in Local Area

The Wall Township Police Department has reported on multiple incidents that transpired within the town in the past week. Here are some, but not all of the reported incidents.

ATLANTIC AVENUE – Ptl. Cole Kennedy conducted a traffic stop on Tuesday, April 9, at 9:30 AM, resulting in the arrest of Michel Cozine, 36, of Point Pleasant, due to an outstanding warrant. Cozine was processed and later released on bail.

GLADFIELD DRIVE – On Wednesday, April 10, at 3:00 PM, officers responded to a report of a vehicle hitting multiple mailboxes. Kim Fletcher, 56, of Wall, was identified as the driver and was arrested for driving while intoxicated by Ptl. James Yannazzone. Fletcher was processed and released as per John’s Law.

HWY 138 AND ALLENWOOD RD – Early on Thursday, April 11, at 1:00 AM, Ptl. Tyler Martin stopped a vehicle, leading to the arrest of Julie Franzino, 48, of Toms River for driving under the influence. Franzino was also released according to John’s Law.

HWY 18 – Ptl. Daniel Grothues initiated a traffic stop on Friday, April 12, at 9:30 AM, arresting Arnaldo Goncalves-Defreita, 41, of Long Branch on an outstanding warrant. After processing, Goncalves-Defreita posted bail and was released.

CAMPBELL RD – On Saturday, April 13, at 2:30 AM, following a single-car accident, Brian Riccio, 58, of Wall was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was processed and released as per John’s Law.

SHAFTO RD AND HWY 138 – On Sunday, April 14, Ptl. Daniel Grothues conducted two separate stops resulting in the arrests of Daniel Piantanida, 58, of Farmingdale, and Desalai Riehl, 31, of Trenton, both for outstanding warrants. Piantanida and Riehl were processed and given new court dates.

HWY 138 – Additionally, on April 14, at 1:42 PM, Ptl. Shane Roland stopped and arrested Kayque Moreirabarreto, 20, of Long Branch on an outstanding warrant. He was processed and given a new court date.

HWY 34 – Closing the week, on Sunday, April 14, at 10:15 PM, Ptl. Josh Wheeler arrested Brandon McClure, 28, of Brooklyn, NY for driving while intoxicated. McClure was processed and released in accordance with John’s Law.
