PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MD – The Homicide Unit of the Prince George’s County Police Department is actively seeking information regarding the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Michael Delonta Cooper from Washington, DC. The incident occurred on Sunday, April 14, at around 6:45 PM in a park located at the 800 block of Birchleaf Avenue.
Cooper was found with gunshot wounds by officers from the Maryland-National Capital Park Police, Seat Pleasant Police, and PGPD. He was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Detectives are currently investigating to determine a suspect(s) and the motive behind the shooting.
The police have announced a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case.
