Cellphone Theft Leads to Arrest of Trio in Paramus Mall

PARAMUS, NJ – A routine theft at a mall kiosk led to an arrest by Paramus police, who apprehended three individuals involved in the incident. The theft, involving a cellphone and wallet, occurred shortly before 9:30 p.m. on Friday, April 12, according to Police Chief Robert Guidetti.

With the aid of mall security, Detective Lt. Tom Schroeder and Detective Mark Pinajian tracked down the suspects at the Paramus Mall. Two of the suspects, Alexander Arias Gudino Kleiber, 28, from Manhattan, and Claudia J. Simosa, 28, from the Bronx, were apprehended as they returned to a white 2013 Mercedes Benz with a counterfeit Connecticut license plate. The third suspect, identified as the alleged ringleader Andres R. Aguilar-Ceballos, 31, also from the Bronx, was caught inside the mall. Aguilar-Ceballos had entered a bathroom at the Pinstripes restaurant and changed his jacket in an attempt to alter his appearance.
