GLEN BURNIE, MD – Eastern District detectives are actively investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Somerset Bay Drive in Glen Burnie on April 10, 2024. The incident resulted in a 24-year-old male sustaining a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
The series of events unfolded around 3:00 p.m. when the victim, who had been shot in an extremity, independently sought medical attention at the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Shortly thereafter, police received multiple 911 calls reporting the shooting in the 200 block of Somerset Bay Drive.
Witnesses described the assailant as an unknown male driving a white sedan. Investigators have determined that the shooting was a targeted attack rather than a random act of violence.
