BRICK, NJ — Mayor Lisa Crate declared Wednesday, April 10 as “Brick Memorial High School Girls Bowling Team Day” at a recent Council meeting. This special recognition celebrates the team’s triumph in the NJSIAA Group 3 State Championship this season.
Mayor Crate commended the Mustangs Girls Bowling Team for their perfect season and their continuous success. “I am proud to recognize the Mustangs Girls Bowling Team on their outstanding season and on winning another state championship for their school and our community,” she stated.
The Mustangs completed the season undefeated with a 23-0 record. They clinched the Shore Conference Class A South Championship and the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group 3 Championship before overcoming the Lacey Township High School Lions to secure the overall Group 3 Championship.
This championship marks the fourth in a row and the ninth in the history of the program. During the ceremony, Mayor Crate gave Head Coach Tori Boughton an official proclamation and awarded Certificates of Commendation to team members.
The celebrated team includes Brooke Collins, Cameryn DeMarco, Keira Fahnholz, Megan Guidone, AJ Jonkoski, Kendra Macomber, Faith Perrin, Olivia Salvatore, Kaitlyn Weitzell Sanchez, and Patricia William.
