Deadly Shootout at Philadelphia Gas Station as Security Guard Shoots Armed Suspect

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A security guard at a Philadelphia gas station shot and killed a man who pulled a gun inside the station’s convenience store on Tuesday.

Philadelphia Police report a fatal shooting incident at a Sunoco gas station located at 900 W College Ave. The event took place at approximately 7:00 PM, resulting in the death of a man who was shot multiple times by an armed security guard.

The security guard, in turn, sustained a gunshot wound to the leg.

Surveillance footage from the scene indicates that the altercation began when the deceased brandished a firearm at the security guard. In response, the guard employed deadly force. Despite being shot multiple times, the man managed to fire several shots, injuring the security guard.

The guard then responded by firing several more shots at the suspect, killing him.
