HARRISBURG, PA – Nicole Price, a former EMS supervisor and captain for Hamlin Ambulance Company in Wayne County, faces charges for fraudulently inflating work hours and issuing unauthorized raises for herself and her daughter. Attorney General Michelle Henry announced the charges after an investigation showed Price, who was responsible for reporting hours to the payroll company, claimed nearly 1,000 unworked hours resulting in over $8,400 of undue pay. Additionally, Price illegally allocated herself and her daughter raises and paid out non-existent vacation time.

Pennsylvania State Police have charged 50-year-old Price with felony counts of theft by deception, unlawful use of a computer, and misdemeanor tampering with records. She has surrendered to authorities and was arraigned with a $25,000 unsecured bail.

The deceit, unveiled by an employee’s report in September 2021, led to a thorough audit revealing the extent of the fraudulent activity throughout 2021. This misconduct, described by Attorney General Henry as a significant financial strain on an essential community service, resulted in Price receiving an extra $617 and her daughter an additional $500 through unauthorized raises. Both were suspended from their roles following the discovery.
