Police Seek Suspect in Southeast DC Shooting

WASHINGTON, DCPolice responded to a report of gunfire in Southeast Washington, resulting in a vehicle damaged by bullets. The incident occurred on Wednesday, April 3, at approximately 8:45 p.m. on the 1500 block of Independence Avenue, Southeast.

Upon their arrival, First District officers discovered the vehicle but reported no injuries. The investigation led detectives to identify 41-year-old Kevin Snead of Southeast, DC, and Jumping Branch, WV, as the suspect. He allegedly fired a handgun at the victims before fleeing the scene.

Snead is wanted on charges of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) under a DC Superior Court arrest warrant. Authorities are seeking his black Ford Mustang, bearing West Virginia Tag N3X894, linked to the incident.
