Manchester Man Pleads Guilty to Federal Firearm Charge

HARTFORD, CT – A Manchester resident, known by the alias “Murder,” admits to a firearm charge in federal court.

Timothy Turman, 36, pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon in Hartford federal court. This plea comes after his April 9, 2022, arrest by Bloomfield Police, where he was found with a loaded Taurus Millennium PT-145, .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol, notable for its obliterated serial number.

With previous felony convictions for weapon possession and first-degree robbery, Turman’s possession of the firearm violated federal laws against felons owning firearms that have been transported in interstate or foreign commerce.

Scheduled for sentencing by U.S. District Judge Robert N. Chatigny on July 2, Turman faces a maximum imprisonment term of 10 years. He has remained in custody since his arrest.
