Erie Drug Trafficker Heading to Federal Prison

ERIE, PAA local man has been sentenced to nearly five years in prison for his involvement in a drug distribution conspiracy, as announced by U.S. Attorney Eric G. Olshan.

Kechawn Jabre Douglas, 26, received a 57-month prison term from United States District Judge Susan Paradise Baxter for violating federal narcotics laws. The sentencing comes after Douglas was found to have conspired to distribute multi-kilogram quantities of cocaine across the Western District of Pennsylvania from February to May 2022. He specifically acknowledged his role in the distribution of seven kilograms of cocaine.

The prosecution was led by Assistant United States Attorney Paul S. Sellers. The case was part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation, aimed at dismantling high-level drug trafficking and criminal organizations. This wide-reaching investigation involved multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Erie Police Department, Pennsylvania State Police, and several others, highlighting a coordinated effort to combat drug trafficking effectively.
