HAGERSTOWN, MD – A woman from Hagerstown, Maryland, has won the $50,000 top prize in the Power Cash scratch-off game, marking the fourth top prize awarded since the game’s release in February 2024.
The winner, a retired government employee, decided to buy scratch-off tickets while grocery shopping in late March, drawn by a “tingly” premonition. Opting for the Power Cash game due to past wins, she purchased four tickets and later discovered her grand prize at home.
Revealing a “10X” multiplier alongside a $5,000 prize on one ticket, the prize escalated to $50,000. The news was so astounding that her son, initially skeptical upon receiving a text message about the win, accompanied his mother to claim the prize, acknowledging the authenticity of their good fortune.
The lucky ticket was securely kept in an old purse, with the winner verifying its presence daily. She intends to use the winnings to assist family members and save the remainder.
Martin’s #6444 in Hagerstown, the retailer that sold the winning ticket, is also celebrating with a $500 bonus from the Lottery for their part in this exciting win.
