Hanover Township Man Faces Charges for Alleged Online Luring of Minor

MORRIS COUNTY, NJOfficials announced charges against Brian J. Cariddi, 39, of Hanover Township, for his alleged involvement in inappropriate online interactions with a 9-year-old child from North Carolina. Between December 11, 2022, and January 10, 2023, Cariddi is accused of having sexually explicit conversations, exposing himself, and soliciting images from the child during online communications.

The ongoing investigation is led by Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and Hanover Township Police Chief Michael Loock, who have withheld further details and the identity of the young victim. Cariddi’s arrest on March 8, 2024, resulted in charges including second-degree attempted endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree endangering the welfare of a child for sexual conduct, and fourth-degree lewdness.
