NEW YORK, NY — A disturbing video has emerged showing a passenger dragging another off a New York City subway train, sparking widespread horror among onlookers.
The incident, captured on video and rapidly gaining attention online, occurred at the 59th Street and Lexington Avenue station on March 7. A bystander, hoping to get the train moving again, is seen pulling a person onto the platform.
At first, it appeared the person was dead, but police confirmed the man was alive.
The New York Post reports that William Parker, who shared the footage, explained the individual’s motive was to expedite the train’s departure. Following the unsettling event, the NYPD stated the man who was removed from the train declined medical help and left the station under his own power.
