Two Arrested Following Gunshots Near Temple University
PHILADELPHIA, PA — Two individuals were arrested by Temple University’s police force after gunshots rang out during a large gathering of juveniles in North Philadelphia on Sunday evening. The incident, which occurred around 6:55 p.m. near the intersection of Broad Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue, close to the university’s campus, is part of a growing trend of similar disturbances in the area, according to law enforcement officials.

Officials stated that the two males were apprehended following a foot chase, though their identities have not been disclosed. There is also an ongoing search for a possible third gunman involved in the incident. This event marks the third instance this year of arrests following large gatherings at the school, highlighting an escalating pattern of unrest.
The previous week, approximately 100 to 200 juveniles were involved in throwing rocks and bricks at police on the university’s campus, resulting in three arrests. Law enforcement expresses concern over the increasing frequency of these incidents and the absence of a strategy to address the underlying issues.
