Holmdel Cops Give 239 Tickets During Goal Zero Enforcement Detail

HOLMDEL TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Holmdel Township Police Department, in collaboration with 13 other agencies, conducted a successful enforcement detail known as Goal:Zero, aimed at curbing distracted driving and reducing vehicular accidents. The operation took place on March 27th, covering a significant stretch of Hwy 35.

Between the hours of 3 PM and 7 PM, officers patrolled a 30-mile segment of the highway, extending from Aberdeen Township to Brielle. The enforcement effort resulted in 360 vehicle stops, the issuance of 239 summonses, and 3 arrests, including one for DWI (driving while intoxicated). The range of summonses encompassed 20 cell phone violations, 16 instances of careless driving, 5 speeding violations, 7 seat belt infractions, and 10 cases of suspended licenses.
