BRONX, NY – A robbery attempt turned deadly early Sunday morning inside a store located at 851 East Tremont Avenue, resulting in the death of a 29-year-old man.
At around 4:20 AM, an unidentified male suspect confronted the victim, brandishing a firearm in an attempt to steal his belongings. A struggle ensued, during which the suspect fired his weapon, hitting the victim in the right thigh. The assailant then escaped on foot, heading west on East Tremont Avenue. Emergency services rushed the victim to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The suspect is described as a medium-complexioned male, standing between 5’10” and 6’0″ tall, with a medium build. He was last observed wearing a black jacket, black sweatpants, a black hoodie, and black sneakers. Authorities are actively seeking information on the incident.
