Altercation Leads to Assault in Toms River Bar Parking Lot

TOMS RIVER – A wild night out filled with karaoke turned violent for a patron of Christopher’s Pub in Toms River, following an altercation over an interaction with the bartender. Two male patrons confronted the man inside the bar over the interaction he had with the bartender.

Police did not say what the conversation with the bartender was about.

The incident, which escalated after midnight, involved the victim being assaulted by the same two male patrons in the pub’s parking lot. Following the attack, the victim fled to safety and reported the incident from a nearby WaWa at 37 and Oak Ridge. Despite the assault, he refused medical attention.

At the time the assault was reported, the pub had already closed, leaving the suspects unidentified. The situation remains under investigation as authorities seek to determine the identities of the individuals involved.
