WASHINGTON, DC – The Metropolitan Police Department’s Carjacking Task Force has successfully apprehended 19-year-old Khalill Boyd of Southeast, DC, following an armed carjacking incident. The offense took place in the 300 block of Anacostia Road, Southeast, around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 28.
Boyd confronted the victim with a handgun, demanding their car keys. The victim complied, but responding officers were quick to intervene, stopping Boyd and taking him into custody. He has been charged with Armed Carjacking.
The Metropolitan Police Department expressed gratitude to the Prince George’s County Police Department for their assistance in the case, underscoring the effectiveness of interdepartmental cooperation in addressing violent crimes.
