Baltimore Teen Arrested for Attempted Murder Following Eastern District Shooting

BALTIMORE, MD—In a significant development, the Baltimore Police Department announced the arrest of 18-year-old Isiah Peay in connection with a shooting incident in the Eastern District. The arrest stems from an investigation into an event that occurred on May 2, 2023, where a 21-year-old male was shot in the 1800 block of North Chapel Street.

Peay was apprehended on March 8, after detectives obtained an arrest warrant and located him in the 3200 block of Belair Road. Following his arrest, Peay was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility and charged with attempted first-degree murder. This arrest follows an initial investigation into a shooting incident where officers, responding to gunfire, found a male victim with a gunshot wound to the leg, who was later listed in stable condition at a local hospital.
