CITRUS COUNTY, FL – A significant narcotics investigation by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) culminated in a search warrant and the arrest of four individuals in the early morning of March 8. The operation, led by the CCSO SWAT team and the Tactical Impact Unit (TIU), targeted a residence at 304 South Pine Avenue in Inverness, following investigations into 37-year-old Dennis Gene Himmel’s alleged illegal narcotics sales.
Information gathered by the TIU suggested that Himmel, released from prison in April 2023 for similar offenses, had resumed selling drugs, primarily fentanyl. Detectives established probable cause and executed the search warrant, leading to the arrests of Himmel, 39-year-old Mary Elizabeth Wallace, 40-year-old Claire Marie Beck, and 46-year-old Jason Scott Flynn. Despite initial non-compliance from the occupants, the SWAT team secured the residence, discovering drugs and paraphernalia indicative of narcotics sales.
