ST. LOUIS, MO – Kendal “KD” White, 19, of St. Charles, and Cam’Ron Henderson, 19, of St. Louis, have been formally indicted by a grand jury on charges of kidnapping a toddler in St. Louis County on August 10, 2023. Both men are currently in custody, facing serious allegations tied to the incident that unfolded in north St. Louis County last year.
The indictment stems from the duo’s alleged attempt to confront someone they believed had stolen firearms from White. Their search led them to forcibly enter the home of the child’s mother, aiming to find the child’s father. Upon not finding their intended target, White and Henderson made the harrowing decision to take the child instead. During the confrontation, the child’s mother was assaulted as she tried to protect her child.
In a twist of events, following the issuance of an Amber Alert, White and Henderson are said to have left the child with strangers in St. Louis, leading to their subsequent arrest.
It is important to note that an indictment is not a determination of guilt, but rather a formal charge that represents only accusations against the defendants. White and Henderson are presumed innocent until proven guilty. If convicted of kidnapping, each could face a minimum of 20 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, or both.
