CLAYMONT, DE – Delaware State Police are actively investigating an attempted armed robbery at a CVS store, which occurred on the evening of March 8.

According to reports, at around 7 p.m., a male suspect armed with a firearm entered the CVS located at 702 Naamans Road. The assailant then proceeded to leap over the counter, demanding drugs from the on-duty pharmacist. Despite the pharmacist’s attempt to access the safe, the suspect left the premises empty-handed.

The perpetrator is described as a black male, seen wearing a gray hoodie, dark pants, and dark shoes. Efforts to obtain surveillance footage or images to aid in identifying the suspect are ongoing.
