STOWE TOWNSHIP, PA – The Allegheny County Police Department is investigating a shooting incident involving law enforcement officers in Stowe Township.
Officers from the McKees Rocks Police Department and Stowe Township Police Department were targeted in an attack at approximately 2:07 pm on March 5.
The officers, who were in an unmarked vehicle conducting an investigation, came under fire in the 700 block of Woodward Avenue. A male suspect unleashed multiple shots at the vehicle, prompting a McKees Rocks Police Department officer to return fire.
Despite the exchange of gunfire, no officers were injured during the confrontation. The suspect managed to escape from the scene, and authorities have yet to reveal his identity or whereabouts.
