Queens Man Arrested For Animal Cruelty After Dozen Animals Found in Dire Neglect

QUEENS, NY – Cory Elder, a 43-year-old male residing at 474 Beach 44 Street, has been arrested and faces several charges including criminal possession of a controlled substance, torture/injure/not feed animal, criminal possession of stolen property, neglect of impounded animal, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

The arrest occurred on Monday inside the specified Queens residence, where detectives from the Grand Larceny Squad conducted a search warrant as part of a short-term investigation. During the search, authorities discovered 11 emaciated dogs and 2 cats in a state of neglect and malnourishment. Additionally, heroin, alleged fentanyl, stolen tools, and DJ equipment were recovered from the premises. The investigation is still underway.
