MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MARYLAND – A tragic collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle has resulted in a fatality, prompting an investigation by the Montgomery County Police Department’s Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU). The incident occurred on February 29, at the intersection of Snouffer School Road and Centerway Road.
At around 3:03 p.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the scene following reports of the crash. Preliminary findings indicate that a white 2018 Acura MDX, attempting a left turn onto Centerway Drive from Snouffer School Road, collided with an eastbound 2014 Suzuki GSX-S750 motorcycle. The impact ejected the motorcyclist.
The Acura’s driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital. The motorcyclist, identified as 35-year-old Anthony Bernard Lee of Damascus, was also transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
