Jackson Police Department Welcomes Newest Recruits to the Force

Jackson Township, NJ – The Jackson Township Police Department has officially welcomed Officer Peter Lauria and Officer Cole Olejarz into its ranks following their graduation.

The two new officers graduated from the Ocean County Police Academy’s 116th Class last Thursday, marking a significant addition to the local law enforcement team. This achievement increases the total number of sworn officers in the department to 108.

Their successful completion of the rigorous training program at the Ocean County Police Academy was reported by Sgt. Fred Meabe.

The officers will begin their field training period.

Mayor Michael Reina this week said the township has plans on hiring more officers later this year, but would not disclose the numbers at this time.
