New York, NY – A theft incident at the Alo Yoga Store located at 164 5th Avenue resulted in minor injuries to two employees on Tuesday, February 6, around 6:13 PM. Two unidentified individuals entered the store and stole merchandise, leading to a confrontation when store employees attempted to intervene.
During the attempt to halt the theft, a physical altercation ensued, causing minor scratches to the faces of a 24-year-old female and a 21-year-old female employee.
The assailants fled the scene on foot heading southbound on 5th Avenue. Emergency medical services treated the employees at the scene for their injuries.
Authorities are seeking two females in connection with the incident. The first suspect is described as being in her early 20s, with a medium complexion and build, last seen wearing a blue jacket adorned with a star, gray sweatpants, black sneakers, and carrying a black canvas bag. The second suspect also has a medium complexion and build and was last observed wearing a black jacket, tan sweatpants, glasses, a brown baseball cap, and a black sweater.
The police are actively investigating the incident and ask anyone with information to come forward to assist in the apprehension of the suspects.
