New Jersey Man Arrested for Domestic Threats Released Day Later on Valentine's Day by Judge

Old Tappan, NJ – Patrick Santos, a 32-year-old resident of Old Tappan, was arrested shortly after midnight on February 12 following a response to a medical assistance call by local law enforcement. According to Old Tappan Police Chief Joseph Tracy, Sgt. Katie Weaver and Officer Andrew Kim discovered that the victim’s injuries stemmed from an earlier domestic-related incident.

With the support of River Vale police, Santos was taken into custody and faced multiple charges, including aggravated assault, making terroristic threats, and unlawful possession of weapons.

Following his arrest, Santos was booked into the Bergen County Jail on Tuesday. However, records indicate that he was released by a Superior Court judge in Hackensack the following day, Wednesday, which was Valentine’s Day.
